I'm Amanda Hurford, founder of ALA. I am passionate about witnessing health transformation in my clients. I empower clients to reach their health goals in a way that fits their lifestyle and personal needs. A one-size-fits-all approach does not always work for our health, and I personalize every process. My mission is to see my clients succeed and feel empowered to take control of their health. I provide a wide range of natural and holistic health approaches that are otherwise unavailable in mainstream healthcare settings.
My Background
Since I was in the third grade, I have been studying, contemplating, seeking out, and experimenting with human health and dis-ease. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition and dietetics from the University of New Mexico in 2011 and 2016. I studied nutrition because diet and lifestyle contribute to human health and well-being- we are what we eat!

I gain insight and improve my methods with every person I assist on their health journey. I approach every encounter with honesty and encouragement, setting realistic and individual goals for every client. Sometimes the barrier to success is our own self-limiting beliefs, and I work to help people overcome these beliefs and stay accountable to their goals. I foster a warm, helpful environment to motivate and inspire health and healing. The variety of services I offer is individualized for maximum benefit.
